Jason started his paintings on surgical tools after spending a year researching at a medical lab and being influenced by his design work at the Mayo Clinic. His deep interest in science, medicine, and art has been influencing his recent works, some of which are donated to the surgeons at the Mayo Clinic.

Framing
— The Process—
Framing is also a part of my art installation processes.
It gives me a sense of closure when I frame especially the smaller art pieces that my clients commission me to paint.
The process begins by cutting down the wood. In this case, I used 1/2" thick walnut as the frame materials.
Once sanded, they are glazed and painted over several times.
